Some photos that I took today after the temperature had dropped, just some basic macro shots I took in my backyard.
Let me know what you think.

InI & Pete Rock
Currently listening to some work by InI, a Hip-Hop group that started back in the early 90's.
I don't think I could ever get sick of listening to their music along with the work of Pete Rock. I still remember how I got into this form of more underground Hip-Hop it was thanks to a friend back around 2005 when he showed me the song "They reminisce over you" by Pete Rock and CL Smooth.
Something is just so fresh about this track the lyrics, the filming of the clip and of course the instrumentals from older soul and jazz songs.
I suggest you have a look at the song and let me know what you think of it.
Well back on topic, InI had their debut album "Centre of Attention" released in 1996 by Elektra.
I don't think I could choose one favorite song from this album as they are all as good as the last ! If you are interested in having a listen to their music there is plenty on YouTube.

Netbooking
I have recently been looking around for another netbook for university as the last one I had (asus eee pc) has decided to let some keys not function and the poor amount of hard drive space left on the flash memory causes more pain with every use.
I have been looking at the Lenovo S10-3 or a HP Mini 5102. Both with their own pros and cons, I think their designs are what captures me as there are a dozen different netbooks doing pretty much all the same things. Both these netbooks seem to have what I will need, though I do wish they had a n550 processor ! Does anyone have any opinions on these? Do others out there use a netbook for simple internet tasks?
Of course I have already looked around on the interenet for reviews on both, though was just curious to see what others thought of them.

Oh you have certainly BREACHED something !
I am on STEAM a lot and enjoy using it as a client to manage/download/play games and connect with friends. Today I saw a special offer pop up showing a game I had never heard of. Such game was called "Breach" now for $11.99 US it seemed like a decent buy for a FPS. Having some spare money I thought it couldn't hurt but as always I better look at some YouTube clips and reviews. This game seemed to be a more destructive version of Counter Strike Source and claimed to be more of an Indie title.
Watching gameplay on YouTube it seemed like a decent buy for what they were asking. Now I am also into playing BC2 and CS:S so with two great titles it seemed like this game might hold it's own to these titles from what I had seen. After purchasing the game and loading it up, booooy was I surprised to just how awful the game play was ! Now don't get me wrong the games not entirley shocking, it just needs some finer tweaking. The movement of players were sloppy and slow and it made the whole thing awkward, this was enough to make me exit the game!
I will however return and play some more, why? Because this game has excellent environment destruction and tactical ways in which you play against each other, better than many other major titles. Though this game lacks the crucial player interaction and feels like it has fallen short thus far. If developers were to fix this issue then it would surely be a great title to add to the collection for some more online action !
Judge for yourselves, has anyone played this game? Do you like it?

It's just a ride
Engrossed with Bill Hicks work for the past week or so I keep going back, reading and contemplating this quote:
" The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we … kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace. "

Comedy for thought
Bill Hicks. That is all the introduction needs to be. I hope other people out there have seen some of his acts or at least heard of his name.
He was an American comedian who used to base his work off black comedy, satire and philosophy. I went back to YouTube today and searched for some more of his acts and re-watched many of what I had already seen.
The reason why I revisited his work was because my mind was jolted by an audio splice of one of his acts used in an Australian hip-hop group (Terra Firma). Not the first piece of music though that has brought me back to Bill Hicks, the band TOOL also shown light on Mr. Hicks. Maynard James Keenan (singer from TOOL) befriended Bill Hicks as they meet through mutual friends and performed comedy at the same venues.
TOOL dedicated their triple-platinum album Ænima to Bill Hicks to raise awareness of his material and ideas as they felt they "were resonating similar concepts".
I just felt like writing something about Bill Hicks, I didn't want to do a rundown of his life as there is already much more information on Wikipedia for that. His ideas are something I can connect to and find his stage presence and soul very powerful.
